Make Money While Travelling the World

Have you ever wanted to travel the world and wondered how you could make money to fund your travels? Well you can! My wife and I decided that before we start a family and settle down we need to take the opportunity to travel, while we have that freedom. The one big question that came to mind was how would we fund our travelling abroad? We looked at what skills we had to offer and where we could use our skills in other countries where our skills were in demand. We did our research in advance and a course or two to strengthen our chances of securing a job overseas.

So let’s have a look at ways of making money while working abroad. I have compiled a list of some very interesting jobs that can help you work your way around the world.

Teaching English – Many countries around the world are seeking qualified English- speaking people to teach English and many people do this to fund their travels around the world. There are many opportunities in Asia and South America where you can make money and can use this money to see different parts of the world. There are also opportunities to teach other languages abroad.

Dive Master and Scuba Diving Instructor – If you are into your sport and want to make money and travel the world then the Scuba Diving industry might be for you. You will get to travel to some of the most exotic parts of the world and get to meet people from many countries. This is a great outdoor and social activity. Working on Board an Ocean Cruiser – There are many job opportunities on an ocean cruiser – You can work as a chef, entertainer, as part of the ship crew, a beautician, to mention a few. Au Pairing – You get paid to look after kids. Au Paring is big in Europe and America as a lot of successful working moms and dads need help to look after their children while they are at work and have the money to pay au pairs – normally young girls out of college who want to earn some decent money to fund their travels.

Air Hostess – You can see parts of the world by travelling as an Air Hostess and get paid good money for it. Stay in some really fancy hotels and only get to work a few days shifts. There are many ways of travelling the world and making money. These are just a few. Other options include: reporting, writing, travel jounalist, tour guiding and consulting in whatever field you’re in.     All great tips for making money while traveling abroad. I have heard that teaching English is especially very popular in most countries, and take a few hours a day to teach English why not!? Thanks for finding these for all of us. jj

    Great post learned about making money by scuba diving for the first time . But to me Au Pairing is the best one as its not a heavy work to look after the kids while their moms were out for working . The job pays you well too.

    Traveling rocks and is best done before the family gets too big. We did a bit before we got married and then after our son came along we stopped traveling out of our province until he was old enough to start going to amuzement parks.

    He is now in his 20s and we are getting close to retirement.

    My wife will retire in 3 years and we plan to spend the first few years just traveling and blogging.
